Diffusion

Bay Laurel oil has a medium-strength sweet, spicy fragrance. It is renowned for its energizing effects on the lymphatic system and can be used with a diffuser to improve low mood by regulating stress hormones, to improve a lack of confidence, to stimulate the body and mind and as a general pick-me-up. Inhalation of this oil has also other generally-recognized properties, such as re-charging the intellect and creativity and clearing the mind. Another use for this versatile oil includes invigorating the gastrointestinal system of the body. Studies have also shown that Bay Laurel is antimicrobial, being effective against both Salmonella and E.coli bacteria as well as having antioxidant characteristics.

Topical Application

Aching muscles and joints: mix with Jojoba oil to massage locally or add a few drops to warm water while bathing to provide similar relief.

Acne and skin inflammation: mix a few drops of oil with a carrier oil and massage gently into affected areas.

 Other Uses

Dandruff: add a drop or two to your shampoo. Also, remember to shake the shampoo bottle well every time you use it because the added oil tends to separate from the water-based ingredients in shampoos.

Home Use: add a few drops to a spray bottle of water to clean the kitchen and bathroom for its antibacterial properties.

As a refreshing room spray: dilute as above to revive your senses and the smell of your home, which is a win-win!

Oil Specific: don't use on skin for prolonged periods, may cause irritation and sensitization. Avoid while pregnant, or on mucous membranes, except by inhalation.

General: keep out of reach of children and pets. Not for internal use unless taken under the supervision or recommendation of an aromatherapist professional. Do not use undiluted on skin, eyes, or mucous membranes; it could cause allergic reactions. Always test first on a small portion of your skin. If you are pregnant, consult with a healthcare provider/ professional experienced with essential oils as some essential oil are less tolerated while others are well loved by pregnant women.

Storage and Handling: the shelf life of ESSENTIAL OILS is usually around 1 year after they're opened, and up to 2 years when unopened. All essential oils oxidize and are subject to lose their therapeutic value and aromatic quality in time. Essential oils benefit from proper storage and handling. Avoid keeping essential oils in a location that is prone to sudden temperature changes such as the bathroom or kitchen. Store them in a cool, dark place, away from heat and light.
