Our Atlas Cedar oil has a strong, woody perfume and comes from the leaf of an ancient species of tree from the Atlas Mountains, in North Africa. It is widely known as a “grounding “ oil, meaning that it calms down heightened emotions such as nervous tension, stress, and anxiety when used in your nebulizer or diffuser.

This oil is ideal when you want to bring a clean, fresh smell to your home and repel insects. Diffuse it and also add a few drops to cotton balls to ward off unwanted pests wherever necessary.

Topical Application

Oily skin and hair, skin irritations such as eczema and psoriasis: blend a drop or two with a carrier oil and rub gently onto the affected area. The antibacterial nature of Atlas Cedar oil is also effective against acne.

Dandruff: add a few drops to your shampoo and shake the bottle well every time before you shampoo; in general, concentrated essential oils tend to separate from the water-based ingredients of shampoos. Shampoo your hair as normal.

Arthritis and rheumatism: add a few drops to your favorite carrier oil and massage well into the sore areas.

Coughs and catarrh: dilute in carrier oil and apply to your throat and chest; Cedar oil has decongestant properties which also help in the case of chest infections such as bronchitis.

Menstrual issues such as PMS: this oil can help ameliorate stress and tiredness associated with menstruation. Use a few drops diluted in carrier oil and massage into the abdominal area. Atlas Cedar oil should not be used during pregnancy.

Oil Specific: non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitizing. Avoid during pregnancy.

General: keep out of reach of children and pets. Not for internal use unless taken under the supervision or recommendation of an aromatherapist professional. Do not use undiluted on skin, eyes, or mucus membranes; it could cause allergic reactions. Always test first on a small portion of your skin. If you are pregnant, consult with a healthcare provider/ professional experienced with essential oils as some essential oil are less tolerated while others are well loved by pregnant women.

Storage and Handling:the shelf life of ESSENTIAL OILS is usually around 1 year after they're opened, and up to 2 years when unopened. All essential oils oxidize and are subject to lose their therapeutic value and aromatic quality in time. Essential oils benefit from proper storage and handling. Avoid keeping essential oils in a location that is prone to sudden temperature changes such as the bathroom or kitchen. Store them in a cool, dark place, away from heat and light.
