Blend Recipe- Cold and Flu Antioxidant Supreme
This simple blend is wildly full of nature’s original hydrogen bombs- antioxidants which are known for their ability to prevent the free radical formation, an action that can prevent the basis of many diseases in the human body. Both lemon and juniper oils are detoxifying oils, aiding the body in the movement of toxins out of the body. Nutrient-dense fruits, juniper berries, and lemons provide the body with needed resources to build and maintain healthy, disease resistant tissue.
 

Suggested Blend:

Lemon - 2 drops
Juniper Berry - 1 drop
Peppermint - 1 drop 
Slightly warm one tablespoon of pure coconut oil to be liquefied before
mixing it with the essential oils. Then add this blend to a teaspoon of honey, preferably raw honey. You can eat this immediately, or you can consider making a larger batch and pouring one tablespoon at a time into a silicone ice tray and freezing. Keep covered. You can simply pop out a cube each time you’re ready for a megadose of antioxidants. You can suck on the ice or add to your favorite chilled herbal tea.  

 

We love this blend with Echinacea tea for preventive maintenance and Peppermint tea for restorative performance. Echinacea is a powerful immune system enhancer, and if you are suffering from symptoms of cold or flu, it may increase the symptoms which are caused by the immune response. Peppermint contains menthol, which can be a monumental helper in decreasing symptoms of cold and flu such as coughing and chest congestion. This immensely powerful antioxidant-rich blend can be taken 2 or 3 times daily for up to one month.
